When you experience sadness, stress or fear, it may affect several areas of your life, including relationships, work or school performance. It can be particularly frustrating to watch your child or loved one struggle in school, with making friends or trying to manage much anxiety or anger. Life changes, such as loss, divorce, job loss and becoming a parent, can feel overwheming at times.  At the Family Psychology Center, we partner together with children, teens, adults and families to provide support and specific solutions to help.

Our mission at the Family Psychology Center is to provide a compassionate approach backed by clinical expertise to treat each individual’s concerns and help clients accomplish their goals and achieve greater life fulfillment. We use evidence based treatments, such as cognitive behavioral and interpersonal therapies, and tailor our approaches for each client. For example, we provide texting support and web therapy services to best meet the needs of teens and young adults.

We use a family-systems approach to treatment by considering aspects of family, culture, and environment on one’s identity and patterns of behavior. When working with children, we consider behaviors both at home and at school. We partner closely with parents to learn about their child’s behaviors and to resolve their areas of concern. In addition to working one-on-one with clients, we also work with families, couples, and groups.
